TONY Smith is confident Daryl Clark is finding his feet at Warrington Wolves.
Wolves' head of coaching and rugby highlighted the reigning Man of Steel's performance in the 18-6 win over Leeds Rhinos.
"Daryl Clark was very good, he is starting to find his feet the last couple of weeks for us, starting to settle in," said Smith.
"The players are starting to understand him and he’s starting to understand us as well – he was a big contributor to the dummy half running."
Smith also picked out Clark's fellow new arrival Ashton SIms for praise.
"I thought Ashton was outstanding tonight – he was right up there, top quality front rower play," said Smith.
"Hilly’s always pretty strong, but I thought Ash was a real stand out."
However, it was Bennie Westwood who scooped the sponsor's man of the match award - and a pair of headphones.
"We’ve got a new sponsor for man of the match that’s giving away headphones or speakers each week. Bennie told us before the match started he was going to pick up these headphones," laughed Smith.
"So he asked me to keep it brief after the game so he could pick up his free headphones!
"Bennie was terrific."
