WOLVES’ head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith along with supporters have their say on the team’s win against Hull KR.

Post-match interview:

Tony Smith: “We were good in patches. We were patchy in all sorts of ways – kicking game, defence, offense, all of it.

“We had our moments where you could say “that’s good” then there were a few areas where you’d grimace for a little while.

“So we’re not quite right back on our game yet. And you’re never going to be joyous to have 24 points scored against us but at the same time we found a way to keep ahead and we did some good things amongst it.

“We’re not downhearted. We saw some really good things that we needed to improve on from our last couple of performances.

Facebook:

David Brownlee Better kicking game will come with better half back and maybe another prop to help hill and Sims

Lee Van Dusen some great kids at wire these days well done to the set up

Stephen Spencer Ben main man for the future

Stephen Spud Cameron Could have gone either way today both team's where off there game abit but luckily wire came out on top

Neil Dean For a man who is paid to kick goals Ratchford was shocking, why are we not using O'Brien who at least can kick. We are wasting too many points not converting tries. Matty Russell deserved the man of the match but Ben Curry gave him a run for his money

John Marsh Kicking game poor again but a win is a win. Ratchford was superb.

Crofty11: Every week Tony Smith says it's our kicking game letting the team down, why doesn't he address it then, instead of criticising which seems to making the kicking game worsen, he should be bringing out the best in his players , not knocking them week in week out. Get Briers doing some extra coaching, surely that was in his contract and not just working with the u19's.

Dr Julian Karswell: So if the plan was to give Bridge and Harrison a week off to work on their fitness, why were they named in the 19-man squad?

grey-area says: Although we all know it's the kicking that's letting us down, and needs vast improvement, I still don't see a list of coaches better than TS, who has still given us the best few seasons since the 1950's and 1970's.
