WARRINGTON Wolves have added three internationals to the squad that will tackle Widnes Vikings in a friendly at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Wednesday, kick off 7.30pm.

The extra 10 days since the game was initially scheduled has provided Tony Smith with the opportunity to give Ben Harrison, Stefan Ratchford and Ben Westwood a run out.

They join the initial 20-man squad named that included new signings Ashton Sims from North Queensland Cowboys and Gary Wheeler from St Helens.

Toby King, fresh from England Academy duty, and brother George make the squad as do young forward Tom Walker and exciting half back Declan Patton.

Warrington Guardian understands there will be no appearance from Paul Wood, one player who was pencilled in to feature had the game gone ahead on December 28.

Widnes named a strong starting 13 for the original date and are expected to field a similar line-up, including new signings Aaron Heremaia from Hull and Chris Clarkson from Leeds Rhinos.

Vikings (expected team): Jack Owens; Pat Ah Van, Cameron Phelps, Declan Hulme, Paddy Flynn; Danny Craven, Joe Mellor; Phil Joseph, Aaron Heremaia, Ben Kavanagh, Chris Clarkson, Matt Whitley, Hep Cahill.

Warrington have been dominant in the annual pre-season friendlies against Vikings, having won on the last five occasions going back to 2006.

Wolves' last defeat to Vikings in pre-season was 24-18 in 2005.

In the meeting ahead of the 2014 campaign, Wolves ran out 36-32 victors.

Wolves assembled a 36-18 lead by the 63rd minute but Vikings fired back with three tries in the final 12 minutes in front of a 4,437 crowd at the Select Security Stadium, Widnes.

Matty Russell marked his Wolves debut with a try in the fourth minute.

Tickets bought for the original game are still valid on Wednesday. However, refunds will be issued for those unable to make the new date.
