BEFORE getting stuck into Widnes Vikings on Sunday, Wolves new boy Gary Wheeler has another festive feast to tackle!
“I’m having Christmas Day with my family. I’m cooking for 12 and I’ll make sure we have a good Christmas dinner,” he said.
Many of them will be cheering him on during his debut.
And he joked: “What it’s costing me in tickets, I’ll have to poison a few. While it’s my first game, there’s about 10 of my family trying to get along.”
Wheeler and Wolves teammates have been cooking with commandos this year.
“They came in teaching us how to cook,” he said.
“Some of the young lads didn’t have a clue how to cook and they’ve shown us how to make some simple healthy meals which is really beneficial.”
