WARRINGTON Wolves' opening game of the 2015 Super League season has been brought forward.
The eagerly awaited round-one contest with Salford Red Devils will take place on Saturday, February 7, kick off 3pm - 24 hours earlier than initially announced on the season's fixture list.
A Wolves statement reads: "This change comes in after the Red Devils player welfare was questioned, as their Round 2 game falls on a Thursday.
"RFL rules stipulate that players require a five-day turnaround between games where possible, therefore pushing our season opener one day forward to the Saturday.
"Even though Wire like to watch on a Sunday, we’ll be working hard behind the scenes to make this match extra special for you and ensure that the #RLNewEra comes in with a bang."
Tickets for the opener are on sale now from the WolfWare club shop at The Halliwell Jones Stadium and from WolfWare Online, which can be found at warringtonwolves.com.
Ticket prices start from £20 for adults and £14 for concessions.
Warrington Wolves season tickets are still on sale, with juniors on offer from £49.
