HONOURS have been dished out to Super League players, clubs and a coach at the Man of Steel Awards night at Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester tonight.
Castleford Tigers hooker Daryl Clark, who joins Warrington Wolves in 2015, beat Warrington's Chris Hill, Leeds' Jamie Peacock and St Helens' James Roby to the top prize, while also winning the Young Player of the Year silverware too.
It caps a great week for the 21-year-old, who has gained selection for England in the forthcoming Four Nations.
Wolves wwere winners in a number of categories, with Joel Monaghan and Matty Russell collecting individual gongs.
Super League 2014 season award winners:
Steve Prescott Man of Steel: Daryl Clark (Castleford Tigers)
Coach of the Year: Daryl Powell (Castleford Tigers)
Young Player of the Year: Daryl Clark (Castleford Tigers)
Club of the Year: Widnes Vikings.
Foundation of the Year: Warrington Wolves.
The Hit Man Award for most tackles: James Roby (St Helens).
Top Metre Maker: Matty Russell (Warrington Wolves).
Top Try Scorer: Joel Monaghan (Warrington Wolves).
Top Gun (goalkicking): Luke Walsh (St Helens).
Outstanding Achievement Awards (retiring players): Jon Clarke, Matt Diskin, Martin Gleeson, Willie Manu, David Hodgson, Richard Horne, Francis Meli
