ILLNESS kept Gene Ormsby and Glenn Riley out of Warrington Wolves’ win at Hull KR, but Tony Smith expects to have a full squad to choose from for Friday’s encounter.

Ormsby and Riley were named in the 19-man squad but failed to make the match-day 17, with Wolves’ head of coaching and rugby revealing they were carrying a virus.

But Smith expects to have them back for Friday’s Super League game at The Halliwell Jones Stadium along with forward Ben Harrison, who has not featured since the Grand Final defeat to Wigan Warriors.

“It was quite a physical game and there were a few boys carrying a few bumps and bruises into the back end of the game,” said Smith after the Challenge Cup victory at the KC Lightstream Stadium.

“We were a bit limited in our rotation because of some early changes made by the coach, so we had to carry a few blokes with some injuries.

“Gene Ormsby and Glenn Riley both had a little bit of illness, they came down with a virus so hopefully they’ll be back available for us for the weekend.

“We’ve got a fair few bodies available and hopefully Ben Harrison will be available too.”
