THREE players have been suspended after appearing before an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal this evening following offences committed in Round 6 of the First Utility Super League and the third round of the Tetley’s Challenge Cup.

Justin Poore of Hull Kingston Rovers was suspended for three matches and fined £300 after being found guilty of the Grade C offence of making a dangerous throw on Bradford Bulls player Matty Blythe in the 65th minute of a First Utility Super League match played on Sunday March 23.

It means no-nonsense forward Poore will miss his side's Challenge Cup clash and follow-on Super League clashes against Warrington Wolves on April 6 and 11.

Jon Wilkin of St Helens was suspended for two matches and fined £300 after pleading guilty to the Grade B offence of making a reckless high tackle on Chris Riley of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the fifth minute of a First Utility Super League match played on Sunday March 24.

Swinton Lions player Richie Hawkyard was suspended for one match and fined £50 after pleading guilty to Grade A punching in the 68th minute of a Tetley’s Challenge Cup third round tie against Gateshead Thunder on Sunday March 16.

The following players were also suspended after submitting Early Guilty Pleas:

Gareth Ellis (Hull FC) – two-match ban for Grade C offence of making a dangerous shoulder charge on Kevin Brown of Widnes Vikings in the 18th minute of a First Utility Super League match played on Sunday March 23.

Willie Isa (Widnes Vikings) – one-match ban for Grade B offence of recklessly striking Hull FC player Aaron Heremaia in the 52nd minute of a First Utility match played on Sunday March 23.

Kyle Amor (St Helens) – one-match ban for the Grade B offence of making a reckless high tackle on Wakefield Trinity Wildcats player Matt Ryan in the 77th minute of a First Utility Super League match played on Sunday March 23.

Mike Morrison (Swinton Lions) – one-match ban for Grade B punching in the 68th minute of a Tetley’s Challenge Cup third round tie against Gateshead Thunder on Sunday March 16.

Tom Lynch (Gateshead Thunder) – one-match ban for Grade B punching in the 68th minute of a Tetley’s Challenge Cup third round match against Swinton Lions.

Sam Lynch (Gateshead Thunder) – Loses the right to submit an Early Guilty Plea in the next 12 months after admitting Grade A punching in the 68th minute of a Tetley’s Challenge Cup third round match against Swinton Lions.
