WARRINGTON Wolves prop Paul Wood could be back in action next week.
Wolves’ longest serving player had knee surgery pre-season but head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith said he is ‘coming along well’.
He added: “Woody’s back into full running now, which is fantastic.
“It’s just a matter of getting his fitness levels up, and him getting enough miles under his belt.
“In the next week or two I would expect Woody to be available for selection.”
That could mean a season's opener for him against his hometown club Wigan Warriors on Thursday, March 20.
