WOLVES under 19s head coach Danny Fullerton was proud of his team’s performance as a 52-4 success was clocked up against London Broncos at Hemel Stags on Saturday afternoon.

He said: “I was very pleased with the contribution from every single player.

“We spoke earlier in the week about how important the preparation was, knowing the quality of the London side and the long journey down there, and they all did everything really professionally which shone through on the field.

“It was vital that we backed up last week’s opening game success with another impressive display and that is what we produced today.

“To be fair to London they never gave up and came at us strongly throughout but our mentality and willingness to work hard for each other saw us repel their threat.”

He highlighted a couple of players for their starring roles.

“Sam Wilde has again put in a superb eighty minute performance and was rightly adjudged to have been the man of the match,” he said.

“It was also good to see Tom Walker back out on the field and he was immense for us both in attack and defence.”

And he concluded: “The pleasing thing about this squad is that they want to learn and get better each week, not just as players but as good people with strong values and that is the type of culture that we are installing into everybody who wants to represent the club.”
