TWO Super League debuts could be on the cards when Warrington Wolves meet Leeds Rhinos at Headingley later this week.

While Anthony England is expected to make his bow in the 17 as a replacement for injured prop Glenn Riley, Wolves' head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith has revealed he has brought Gene Ormsby into the selection mix this week.

Ormsby, aged 21, is best known as a winger although he can also play centre and full back.

He spent last season on dual registration with Wolves' partner club Swinton Lions, but did not figure in any games at the weekend.

With Australian winger Joel Monaghan crossing for Wolves' only two tries in the heavy loss to St Helens last Thursday, it would appear the pressure is on for Chris Riley to keep his shirt on the left wing.

Ormsby impressed outside Wolves' regular left centre Ryan Atkins during the pre-season friendly success against Widnes Vikings, and was also on that flank against Leigh Centurions.

Wolves' head of coaching and rugby is not short of options on the flank, with Rhys Evans and Kevin Penny patiently waiting for their chance and figuring for Swinton in the Kingstone Championship at Halifax at the weekend.

And he also has at his disposal Ryan Shaw, currently on loan with Barrow Raiders, and James Saltonstall, who is being borrowed by Bradford Bulls at this time.
