TONY Smith remains undecided about when new signing Roy Asotasi will make his Warrington Wolves debut.

The 32-year-old prop - signed from South Sydney Rabbitohs in the off-season- is almost certain to make his first Wolves start in the friendly against Salford next week, Wednesday, but may yet make an appearance against Leigh Centurions on Sunday at the Leigh Sports Village, kick off 3pm.

Smith has indicated that a youthful side, similar to the one that took on Widnes over Christmas, will start against the Championship team, but admitted that discussions with his conditioning coaches may well dictate which of his more senior players get a run-out on Sunday.

“Roy will predominantly play against Salford, but there is still much to be decided,” said Smith.

“We still have to work out exactly which players will double up in both games.

“He could play in both, but we have not finalised that yet.

“I am not going to say for sure either way, because I will have to try and get the conditioning staff to determine what will be best for him too.”
