VAST majority of Wolves supporters taking part in this week's poll of top try scorers at The Halliwell Jones Stadium were caught out.

It is in fact left winger Chris Riley who is The Halliwell Jones Stadium try king, having crossed for more tries than anyone else on the ground's turf since the turnstiles opened in 2004.

Only 12 percent of the hundreds who voted felt the Warringtonian would come out on top from the final list of five.

A whopping 57 per cent thought the leading man, from the 154 league, cup and play-off games that have been staged, would be right winger Joel Monaghan after his stunning scoring spree over his three seasons with the club so far.

But his 53 tries on the ground is only good enough for third spot, with Riley being the front runner with 64 scores and back rower Ben Westwood second with 57 four-pointers.

Only 10 per cent of voters had backed Westood to be the top man.
