PROP Anthony England is on the ‘trip of a lifetime’ as he and 28 other Warrington Wolves players start their pre-season training camp in Australia.

The 26-year-old new signing is one of 29 Warrington players preparing for the forthcoming Super League season in Sydney, where the entire 2014 first team squad – including the star signing from South Sydney Rabbitohs, Roy Asotasi – are training together for the first time.

Having spent the vast majority of his career playing semi-professional rugby for Featherstone Rovers and other Championship clubs, a three-week trip to Australia - based at iconic Coogee Bay - is a luxury England has not experienced in any of his previous pre-seasons.

And while he had eagerly listened to those players who travelled over for a similar in 2012, the former Rovers packman is looking forward to experiencing a few things for himself.

That includes sharing training sessions with other NRL clubs, including Grand Final winners Sydney Roosters.

“This is a trip of a lifetime for me,” said England, who was not quite ready to make his debut in the festive friendly against Widnes on December 29 following a shoulder reconstruction operation last year.

“I have never been to Australia and I have always wanted to go.

“I am looking forward to seeing how different teams go about their training and also showing the Aussie teams something new too.

"I have spoken to some of the boys who went last time but I think I need to experience it myself, because sometimes stories get blown out of proportion a bit!”
