IT'S MY VIEW: Should be explosive on the Med
IT’S going to be explosive in France.
Catalan Dragons need at least a draw to secure a home tie in the play-offs, while Wolves don’t want to fall off the pace again after their star showing at St Helens.
And with two huge packs colliding, it will be bonecrunching and bruising in front of a highly partizan Catalan crowd looking forward to saying goodbye to two of their heroes.
Skipper Remi Casty and Australian legend Steve Menzies will be playing their last home league games for Catalan, and the club’s chiefs are planning to honour the occasion with true French flair.
Perhaps there will be one or two old scores to settle too – anyone remember Catalan full back Brent Webb being sin-binned twice against Wolves at The Halliwell Jones Stadium earlier this year, when the game boiled over on several occasions.
Around 1,000 Wolves fans are expected at the game, with seven coachloads making the journey in from their holiday base in southern Spain.
I think they will be in for a treat – Super League on the Med is a great experience.
