Wolves Academy players among nine suspended
TWO Warrington Wolves players are among nine academy youngsters to have been suspended, it has been announced today.
Hull FC and Warrington Wolves have both had two players suspended following an incident in the 67th minute of their game on Saturday February 23.
Hull FC’s Tom Shark and Alex Sterling, alongside Marcus Elliott and Sean Henney of Warrington, have each been suspended for one game after being found guilty of committing Grade B punching offences.
Five players have been banned following an incident which occurred during the 49th minute of the Featherstone Rovers academy v Halifax academy match on Thursday February 21.
Featherstone’s Lewis Jones was suspended for eight matches after he was found guilty of committing a Grade F violent punching off the bench offence while team-mate Bradley Knowles was banned for five games for a Grade D, sustained punching offence.
Joe Fox (two games) and Jack Beddis (one game) of Featherstone were also suspended after being found guilty of committing Grade C and Grade B punching offences, respectively.
Halifax’s Lewis Holliday was also banned for eight games after he was found guilty of a Grade E, sustained punching from off the bench offence occurring during the same incident.
