CHRIS Bridge made his long awaited comeback in Swinton Lions’ defeat to Dewsbury Rams.

The Warrington Wolves centre lined up for partner club Swinton on Sunday on dual registration terms as he made his first appearance for six months.

England international Bridge, whose last action was in Wolves’ 52-14 win at Widnes Vikings in round 27 of the 2012 campaign, had surgery to repair tendinitis in his knee during the close season.

Bridge was joined in the Swinton ranks by his younger brother Danny, as well as Warrington clubmates Ryan Shaw, James Mendeika, Brad Dwyer, Jack Morrison and Gavin Bennion.

Stand off Mendeika and hooker Dwyer crossed for tries in Swinton’s 23-18 loss, while Shaw kicked three goals from as many attempts.
