SEVEN Warrington Wolves players were in the starting line-up for Swinton Lions in their 34-12 loss at York City Knights.

Gareth O'Brien had his first first run of the season, playing at stand off alongside the experienced Ian Watson in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Tyrone McCarthy and James Laithwaite paired up in the second row, while full back Jordan Burke was among the try scorers along with prop Jack Morrison, who had also scored in the previous week's home defeat to Workington Town.

Glen Riley joined Morrison in the front row, while Ryan Shaw, who missed all three conversions, was in the centres.

Brad Dwyer, who was held up over the try line twice, featured off the bench.

The Warrington players are either featuring for partner club Swinton on season-long signings or on dual registration.
