WITH the snow thaw taking effect, it is now hoped Saturday’s game against Wigan at The Halliwell Jones Stadium will be the conclusion to a busy week for Warrington Wolves’ Testimonial star Ben Westwood.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, Wolves’ 31-year-old forward will have a signing session at the stadium from 3pm to 5pm, when specially commissioned shirts and brochures will be on sale.

Westwood will then head over to Baffito’s Bar and Pizzeria in Bank Street to take part in a radio fans’ forum that also features St Helens’ own Testimonial man Jon Wilkin, Shaun Briscoe from Widnes Vikings and former prop Andy Coley, who is now welfare manager at Wigan Warriors.

Tickets are free, but places are limited.

On Thursday, Westwood joins forces with former teammate and Sky TV presenter Brian Carney to host a comedy and curry night at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, with special guests Adrian Morley, Leeds prop Jamie Peacock and Wigan full back Sam Tomkins set to join Westwood as part of the panel.

A performance from comedian Frankie Allen is included and tickets for the event are on sale from benniewestwood.co.uk priced £30.

Westwood and the Wolves squad returned from a week’s warm-weather training in Tenerife yesterday, Monday, and are in full preparation mode for a game that marks Westwood's 10 years of service and one that will be the last ‘friendly’ before the Super League season starts at home to Castleford Tigers on February 3.

Tickets for the ‘Betfred Challenge’ clash in Westwood’s benefit between the Challenge Cup winners and the League Leaders’ Shield holders are on sale at Wolfware online and the club shop at the following prices: North Stand: Adults, £17, concessions £10 and family (two adults, two children) £40.

East Stand: Adults, £15, concessions £8 and family (two adults, two children) £30.

South and West stands: Adults £13 and concessions £5.
