WARRINGTON Wolves' players will be severely tested on their training camp today.

The club's full-time squad have been working exceptionally hard as the preparations for 2016 go to the next level.

Andrew Johns has joined the coaching staff for the trip, and not having to compete with the wet conditions back home means Wolves are putting plenty into practice.

“It’s been good work,” explained Tony Smith, Wolves' head of coaching and rugby.

“It’s been hard work but very good work. The first couple of days were hot in comparison to what we’ve been used to.

“It was really important that we got their fluid levels right, by making sure they’re taking in enough water for the amount of exercise they’re doing at the moment.

“You get a lot of work in in a short period of time and it’s a really important part of our preparations.

“At the moment we’ve got basically two teams training against each other and with each other, but for the benefits of everybody.

“It gives us a real good chance to put some of the skills we’ve been practicing up until now into practice, without quite being full on contact at this stage. We’re building up to that.”

Last night's trip to the go-kart track was a reward for the work put in so far.
