WOLVES duo Chris Hill and Ben Westwood say England will need to get better in next week's World Cup semi final.

The hosts made it through with a comfortable win over France at Wigan on Saturday night.

But it was a stuttering performance ahead of next week's clash with holders New Zealand at Wembley - especially in an error strewn second half.

Prop Hil, who started the game in the front row alongside James Graham, said it had been a frustrating night.

"We were a bit lacklustre, we gave a lot of ball away.

"But we have a massive week ahead of us to fix it up in a big stadium against New Zealand.

"I threw a couple of off loads I didn't need to. We will get better for next week," he said.

Fellow Wolves forward Westwood said it was a frustrating night as the errors grew.

He added: "But we got the win and that is all that matters.

"We have got a massive week now to get our performance right for next week.

"And there is no better thing to look forward to than playing at Wembley."

And Westwood, who had a spell at prop in the second half, said timings had been off in the 34-6 win over Les Bleus.

"It just wasn't quite right tonight for whatever reason, one of those days where we didn't click.

"We will get it right next week."
