STEVE Price revealed how he turned to poetry to inspire The Wire to a second-half comeback against Hull FC last night.

Trailing 12-0 at the break, the hosts racked up 30 unanswered points in the second half to rebound from their Magic Weekend defeat to Wigan.

"I read a poem at half time from Ebenezer Elliot. I can’t say what sort of poem it was, but it was something different," Price said.

"We went out there then and executed the game plan.

"We played really direct and that’s what I expect from my Warrington Wolves team.

"We were horrendous in the first half. I think we were completing at 22 per cent at one stage and ended up at 35.

"That second half was what we’re all about. It was a great display of football."
