JOE Philbin says The Wire players are "not fooling themselves" into thinking yesterday's win over Hull KR was without fault.

Wolves started both halves poorly and at one point looked in danger of throwing away a 20-point half-time lead, but eventually regrouped to close out a 40-26 victory.

Philbin, who played in his familiar interchange role, says the players were told after the game that they had made a little bit of Warrington history which he describes as "pretty impressive."

However, he says the team knows they have to improve if they are to extend their winning run beyond six matches.

"It was good to get the win. I think we're first Warrington team to win five out of five around Easter!" he said.

"We had Paul Cullen in during the week telling us the stats and it's pretty impressive when you think of it like that.

"We're not fooling ourselves, though. Today wasn't a fantastic performance.

"It was a bit patchy and we need to start the halves stronger, but we'll take the win."
