WOOLSTON Rovers must be “more clinical” when they host Waterhead Warriors tomorrow, kick off 2.30pm.

Rovers got their National Conference League Division Three campaign underway with an 18-6 win over Salford City Roosters on Saturday and will be looking for back-to-back home successes.

Head coach John Fieldhouse says hitting top form may take time, but is still expecting a better showing from his side at Sadore Construction Field.

“After our victory last week, it is imperative that we back that up and produce another winning performance,” he said.

“We will need to be more clinical than we were against Salford but I am confident that we will be.

“We had several new players in our side last week so it is bound to take a little bit of time for us to gel and I am sure that once we do, we will be very difficult to play against.

“We will not be sure what to expect from Waterhead as they didn’t have a game last weekend, but all we can do is ensure that we are fully focussed on our own display and not worry about the opposition.”

Woolston Rovers A were due to travel to Eccleston Lions tomorrow in their opening fixture, but that has been postponed due to the wintry weather.
