STEVE Price confirmed Bryson Goodwin was knocked out in tonight’s festive friendly defeat to Widnes Vikings but that he would be fine “in a couple of days.”

The Wire’s new signing was incapacitated by a tackle from Jordan Johnstone during the first half of the 26-22 defeat at the Halton Stadium.

The 31-year-old walked off the field and did return, with Mitch Brown taking his place on the right edge.

“Bryson will be fine in a couple of days,” Price said.

“I couldn’t really see the contact too well from up in the grandstand. It looked pretty fair to me.

“It is just unfortunate that Bryson got knocked out but he’ll be okay.”

Price also confirmed Toby King had a cut on his cheek stitched up but he was able to return to the field, scoring two tries as Wolves almost retrieved a 26-point deficit.
