WARRINGTON will have connections in three of the Rugby League World Cup 2017 quarter finals next weekend.
The four Wolves players in the England squad will spend the week preparing to face up to Papua New Guinea in Melbourne next Sunday.
New signing Ben Murdoch-Masila and his resurgent Tongan side will square up with Lebanon in Christchurch on Saturday.
Former Wire stars Peta Hiku and Ashton Sims could be involved for their respective nations as New Zealand and Fiji clash in Wellington, also on Saturday.
The first quarter final will be between Australia and Samoa in Darwin on Friday.
Semi finals will be Australia/Samoa v New Zealand/Fiji and England/PNG v Tonga/Lebanon.
Wolves' other players involved in the World Cup, Ireland's George King and Joe Philbin, France's Benjamin Jullien and Scotland's Matty Russell are now all heading home for a break before their pre-season kicks in.
