FOUR more current or recently departed Wolves players are heading to the World Cup after the latest round of squads were named.
Three of them will be representing Ireland, with George King, Toby King and Joe Philbin being chosen in head coach Mark Aston’s 24-man squad to head to Australia.
They will face games against Italy, co-hosts Papua New Guinea and Wales in the group stages.
Meanwhile, prop Ashton Sims returns to the Fiji squad for the tournament having featured for the Bati in 2013.
Sims is joined in the squad by brother Korbin, who plys his trade for Brisbane Broncos.
Fiji will face USA, Wales and Italy in the group stages.
That takes the number of Wolves players already known to be featuring in the tournament to six, with Peta Hiku and Benjamin Jullien confirmed to be in the New Zealand and France squads respectively.
There could be plenty of Warrington players in contention for a place in the England squad, which is announced on Monday, while Matty Russell is likely to be picked for Scotland when their travelling party is named on Tuesday.
