TONY Smith says Andre Savelio will always be welcome back at Warrington Wolves.

The 22-year-old former Latchford Albion junior will join Brisbane Broncos at the end of this one-year spell with his hometown club.

“It was always a possibility that it could happen. We understood that when he came here,” said Wolves’ head of coaching and rugby.

“Andre has had some connections with Brisbane before and there is a bit of a family connection too in terms of having a lot of relatives living in that region of Australia.

“He’s been good, particularly at this back end of the season. He’s put a few good games together in terms of getting his form together.

“It will be a good challenge for him. It takes you a little bit out of the comfort zone in terms of living away and starting over in a new country.

“It’ll be good for him all round, good for his maturity and his development so he goes with our blessing and as always when things are done the right way – which he has done – he’ll always be welcome back.”
