BEN Westwood will be keeping his fingers crossed on his availability for Warrington Wolves against Wigan Warriors.

He was sin-binned for a sixth minute 'dangerous tackle' on Leigh Centurions prop Danny Tickle in The Wire's 50-10 win last night after returning to the side from a broken hand.

The Match Review Panel will study the incident on video before deciding whether the Wolves stalwart faces a charge.

Tickle's legs ended up above the horizontal position with his head close to the turf but Westwood appeared to withdraw from the challenge and did not follow through with any force.

"I thought he was a little unfortunate," said Wolves' head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith.

"There was absolutely no intent and he tried to pull out of the tackle.

"There was no pile-driving and I thought he gave himself up sufficiently enough, so I thought 10 minutes was quite severe."
