THE Rugby Football League's Match Review Panel have studied video evidence of four incidents from Wolves' clash with Wigan at St James' Park on Saturday.

Wolves prop Joe Philbin has received a caution, but there is no further action on the involvements of Michael McIlorum, Sean O'Loughlin and George Williams.

Philbin's caution is for dangerous contact on Liam Farrell in the 55th minute.

Kevin Brown felt the weight of Wigan's physicality twice in the space of a minute, the first time from Wigan skipper O'Loughlin's high tackle and secondly from Williams extending his England rival's legs above the horizontal in a tackle.

O'Loughlin was spoken to on the field by referee Ben Thaler and Wolves squared the scores at 20-20 as a result of the penalty conversion.

The report from the Match Review Panel on the incident says: "Player making legitimate attempt to tackle opponent who has dipped significantly.

"Arm is not swung forwards, contact is open-handed and arm never comes beyond horizontal.

"Initial contact is to upper chest. Penalty sufficient."

And in the leg extension case, the report says: "Player lifts leg of opponent in order to complete tackle.

"Legs do come above the horizontal however player not placed into dangerous position and opponent lands safely."

No reference is made in the reports about Wigan prop Frank-Paul Nuuasala throwing Benjamin Jullien's boot into the crowd.

Catalans' Greg Bird and Leigh's Adam Higson have been charged from incidents in their games during the Magic Wekend in Newcastle.
