“NOBODY can stop us in full flow,” was the warning Kevin Brown sent out to the rest of Super League ahead of the Magic Weekend clash with neighbours Wigan.

The Wire are still ninth in the Super League table but are upwardly mobile having won six of their past seven games in all competitions.

By ending a run of three straight defeats to the Warriors, including the 2016 Grand Final, Wolves would jump into the top eight for the first time in 2017.

While Shaun Wane’s side are currently struggling with injuries to key players, Brown says there will be no underestimating the defending Super League champions.

“A few lads may still be smarting from the Grand Final but I wouldn’t say that’s the main reason we want to beat them,” he said.

“We want to beat them to improve our own position and carry on building like we have been doing.

“When we are in full flow, I firmly believe nobody can stop us.

“They are doing it tough. They have a few players missing but there is absolutely no chance of us underestimating them.”

By playing at St James’ Park on Saturday, Brown will keep up a record of appearing at every Magic Weekend since its inception in 2007.

He scored a hat-trick for Widnes against Salford when the event was first held in Newcastle in 2015.

“I’ve played in every Magic Weekend so far and I love it. It’s like a cup final atmosphere,” Brown said.

“It’s unique really. Every team can get that big-game feeling without it being a Challenge Cup Final or a Grand Final.”
