MONDAY sees Huddersfield Giants visit The Halliwell Jones Stadium in a bid to reverse their own poor start to the season.

After their 29-22 defeat to Catalans on Wednesday, the Giants sit 10th in the Super League table following a seven-game winless run.

Away draws at Wigan and St Helens have been included in that run, but head coach Rick Stone will be keen to avoid a repeat of last year’s Middle 8s escape.

Skipper Leroy Cudjoe will miss the game against Wolves, but half-back Ryan Brierley is back from injury.

Danny Brough's kicking game will be key, while much of the try-scoring threat will come from England winger Jermaine McGillvary.

The sides have already met in 2017, when the Giants left Cheshire having won 12-0 in a pre-season friendly that marked Ben Harrison's testimonial.

Giants squad: Jake Mamo, Jermaine McGillvary, Lee Gaskell, Aaron Murphy, Danny Brough, Ryan Brierley, Sam Rapira, Ryan Hinchcliffe, Shannon Wakeman, Kruise Leeming, Sebastine Ikahihifo, Oliver Roberts, Paul Clough, Nathan Mason, Daniel Smith, Tyler Dickinson, Sam Woon, Darnell McIntosh, Alex Mellor.

ONE TO WATCH – Jake Mamo:

THE Australian full-back made a dazzling debut against Catalans having missed the first nine games of the season with an ankle injury.

He scored a try in the first half and provided a dash of quality from the back of the field.

At 22, Mamo is still young and should add some thrust and exuberance to Huddersfield’s attacking play having joined from NRL side Newcastle Knights.
