WARRINGTON Wolves have the chance to chalk up a rare achievement when they face Huddersfield Giants at The Halliwell Jones Stadium tomorrow.

Only once during Tony Smith’s reign have The Wire won both of their Easter fixtures.

They have one tick in the box from Thursday’s 19-10 backs-to-the-wall success against Widnes Vikings.

That was the first time Wolves have won away to Widnes at Easter time since their return to Super League.

They will be without a stack of regulars though, with Kevin Brown, Ben Westwood, Ryan Atkins and Matty Russell among those ruled out.

Mike Cooper, Joe Westerman and Daryl Clark are doubts but are all named in Smith's squad for the game.

Smith said after Thursday’s victory: “We’re looking for a strong Easter, whether we’ve got all our names out there or not.

“And we’re looking for a strong ‘after Easter’ as well.

“Certainly if we don’t have some of those names back on Monday we’ll have them back for the following weeks.

“It’s often the few weeks post-Easter that teams really go up or down the ladder.

“We’d like to continue up the ladder in the next game but the next few weeks after that are really important to us. That’ll be a big test for everybody concerned.”
