CHRIS Bridge broke the 1,000-point mark in a Warrington Wolves shirt with a faultless kicking display at Catalan Dragons.
Bridge’s kicked four conversions and a penalty to secure Wolves a two-point win in Perpignan, taking his total in primrose and blue to 1,001.
Wolves’ head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith was delighted with Bridge’s effort.
“It’s a great achievement and he kicked so well,” said Smith.
“Both kickers from both teams kicked very well and fortunately Bridgey was up to the challenge and kicking them off from everywhere.
“We needed that in the end and as both kickers kicked very well, but we kicked a penalty and it’s unlike us to do that.
“We rarely do that but we felt in those conditions with the two teams so tight it was very good.”
