THOSE on the Wolves treatment table are working hard to return to action.

First team coach Willie Poching gave an update on several of Wolves’ injured troops, who he says are doing their best to be available for selection as soon as possible.

Joel Monaghan is fit after his jaw popped out and back in again in the process of scoring against Salford Red Devils on Sunday.

Richie Myler continues his rehabilitation on his ankle, while Anthony England narrowly missed out on selection when Wolves’ 19-man squad was announced last Friday.

“Did you see Joel? That was a freak one,” said Poching. “But everybody else has come through pretty much unscathed, which is good because we couldn’t afford to have too many others out.

“Richie is still on the rehab, he’s a little while away but all the blokes who are out are working really hard to put themselves back in a position for selection – it’ll be really good for competition in the squad when they’re all back.

“There was a little bit of a setback for Anthony, he was not too far away from selection on Friday and he’s worked really hard.”

Poching has also been impressed by England’s form since joining the club from Championship outfit Featherstone Rovers at the end of last season.

“Anthony’s really taken to full-time rugby league and being in a professional environment really well,” added Poching.

“He works hard. He works hard with the medical department and works hard by himself to make himself a great athlete.”

However, the former Samoa international, who is set to leave the club at the end of the year, believes Wolves will not be making any more changes than necessary when they face Bradford Bulls on Sunday.

“ There won’t be too many changes,” he explained. “We don’t have too many and we can’t just rest people as it will be dangerous opposition this week in Bradford.”
