HEAD coach Danny Fullerton hailed the performance of Joe Philbin after his four-try haul for Warrington Wolves under 19s.

The back-rower was in sensational form to touchdown four times as Wolves romped to a 63-10 success against their Hull KR counterparts.

Fullerton said, “I am absolutely delighted for the players; they put in a brilliant display of free flowing rugby league for the large appreciative crowd.

“They have worked really hard this week fixing up areas that we needed to after the Leeds game and they have taken that out onto the field.

“The way that we moved the ball around the pitch was very entertaining and proved to be very hard to stop and this allowed us to score several outstanding tries from all areas.

“A big focus of ours is to be strong defensively as a unit and we have achieved that once again. Joe Philbin was uncontrollable all the game; he constantly punched holes in the Rovers defence.

“You could tell before the game that he was really zoned in and he certainly didn’t disappoint scoring four great tries as well as being a rock in defence.

“Declan Patton has had the best game I have seen him play at Warrington, his organisation of the team was very professional and he supported that by having a ruthless kicking game.

“We made several changes again this week and it shows the strength of the squad we have as the guys that stepped in have raised the bar even higher.”

Wolves face Hull KR again on Friday as a curtain raiser to the Super League clash. Kick off is 5.30pm at the KC Lightstream Stadium.
