THIS is the face of Wolves' wounded warhorse Micky Higham after last night's clash with Wigan Warriors.
Matty Russell Tweeted the image of his teammate, showing the aftermath of Higham getting a face full of studs.
Higham later left the changing rooms saying: "I got caught by somebody's size 11s during a tackle."
Video replays highlighted that hooker Higham, thrown back on to the field in the second half to try and spark an uninspiring Wolves into life, was left sprawled on the floor after slipping down the legs of Wigan prop Scott Taylor.
As the 33-year-old ex-Wigan hooker fell off the three-man tackle, the underside of Taylor's boot slashed across Higham's face as the powerful England Knights front rower tried to keep his legs pumping.
Higham ended up with stitches in the cuts across his forehead and across the bridge of his nose.
