TONY Smith will be forced into at least one change when Warrington Wolves seek their first win of Super League 2014 at the home of his former club.

Wolves will have to tackle Leeds - 36-4 victors at Hull KR on Sunday - without prop Glenn Riley at Headingley in round two on Friday night.

The 21-year-old Cumbrian came off the bench against St Helens but injured his leg in the process of trying to prevent Italy international Anthony Laffranchi barging over for a killer try in the 80th second of the second half.

Wolves' head of coaching and rugby said: "He has a medial ligament strain and we're talking two to three weeks, hopefully two."

That means Riley is also likely to be absent for Wolves' next home game against Hull FC on March 2 and could return against London Broncos at their new home, The Hive, on March 9.

It is a slight setback for Riley, who was looking to take the opportunity to impress his boss while prop rivals Paul Wood and Ben Harrison were absent for the start of the season as they enter the final stages of their rehabilitation from close-season surgery.

Smith said: "He had a good pre-season and had earned his way into the team.

"It's a long seasoon and he will get another opportunity so he will be fine."
