SAMOA have named a 25-man squad for their Rugby League World Cup 2013 warm-up fixture against England Knights at Salford City Stadium tomorrow (2.00pm).

Squad confusion continues with the Samoan set-up, which is based in Warrington for the tournament.

Five of the named players for Saturday's game have not been included in Samoa's current official 20-man World Cup squad.

All other squads have named 24 players, as per tournament rules.

Samoa did name a 24, which included Roy Asotasi despite him not taking part due to injury. That 24-man squad was issued to the world's media by e-mail.

Then a different 24, not including Asotasi, appeared on the official Rugby League World Cup 2013 website. And at some stage that changed to a 20-man squad.

It can only be assumed that coach Matt Parish will whittle down 25 to 24 after Saturday's game.

The starting line-up features 2013 Super League Grand Final winner Harrison Hansen of Wigan Warriors and St Helens centre Sia Soliola.

Frank Winterstein, of Widnes Vikings, is named on the bench for a match that will be played with unlimited interchange.

England Knights v Samoa forms part of an exciting double header at Salford City Stadium tomorrow when England hone their preparations ahead of Rugby League World Cup 2013 with a match against Italy (4.30pm).

1 Anthony Milford (Canberra Raiders)
