DOUBT has emerged over Roy Asotasi’s participation in the World Cup after he failed to arrive with his teammates in Warrington this morning.

The Samoan squad pulled into the town following a flight from down under, but the prop was not on the plane.

Head coach Matt Parish told the Warrington Guardian he was ‘lost’ and a younger replacement had been called up.

He added: “He is lost and still in Australia. He wasn’t there for the flight.

“We have lots of young players who want to represent their country.”

Samoa play a warm up match against the England Knights on Saturday in Salford before taking on New Zealand at The Halliwell Jones Stadium next Sunday, October 27.

They are staying in the Village Hotel in the town centre for the next two weeks.
