Lymm youngsters win Cheshire Cup against Sandbach

LYMM tries came from Samuel Pennington and Joseph Rogers in their draw with Whitchurch.

* LYMM Rugby Club’s under 10s have completed incredible back-to-back Cheshire Cup successes.

For the second year in a row they defeated Sandbach in the final of a competition contested by 28 clubs.

The Lymm players, from all around the Warrington area, have not conceded any tries in an unbeaten 12-game run in the knockout.

* LYMM Rugby Club will be hosting the colts Cheshire Cup Finals at Beechwood, Crouchley Lane, on Sunday.

Top-of-the-bill is the senior colts final between Lymm and Sandbach at 4pm, preceded by the junior colts plate final between Caldy and Wirral at 11am.

The junior colts cup final between Chester and Stockport will take place at 12.35pm and the senior colts plate final between Chester and Dukinfield at 2.15pm.

Admission is £5 per vehicle or £2 per individual arriving on foot.
