Kendal 2nd 40 Warrington 2nd 0

WARRINGTON were emphatically beaten by the newly crowned Raging Bull North West Division One champions.

Kendal's onslaught was relentless but excellent defence, especially from Matt Hennessey and Luke Johnstone, prevented the home side from running riot.

The continuous tackling took its toll on a depleted and courageous Warrington side as Kendal ran in 28 points in the second period.

“I was very proud of every one of the lads,” said skipper Sean Yoxhall, who has been the mainstay of the team all season.

“We have a home fixture against Kirkby Lonsdale on Saturday and we are looking forward to finishing the season in style.”

The second-team game at 3.15pm will follow on from the first-team fixtures against Douglas, kick off 1.30pm.

There will then be a cross-code game between Crosfields Masters and Warrington masters.

The afternoon and evening at Warrington Sports Club will also feature live music, a bouncy castle and various sideshows.
