MOORE manned the barricades to come away with an impressive victory at Newcastle-under-Lyme.
They spent 25 minutes of the second half camped within their own 22-metre area, rebuffing all approaches.
In this potential banana skin in Moore’s push for promotion, Newcastle used their forwards to gain eary ascendancy and eventually opened the scoring with a well-worked try.
Intelligent kicking and forward graft led to Moore’s try, completed when a defence-splitting pass allowed Frazer Mckie to break the line, before making an excellent offload to allow Sam White to score. Kyle Robinson added the al-important conversion.
Moore host Whitchurch in their final home game of the season on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
