North Manchester 11 Eagle 15
IN what was their most important game of the season, Eagle stepped up to give their ambitions on two competitions a boost.
Their trip to North Manchester was played as a double header and victory kept them in contention for a league play-off place and put them in the final of the Alan Stone Bowl.
Eagle must now wait for other results this weekend to see if they will progress to the play-offs in Lancs/Cheshire Division Three North.
They started slowly, conceding a try and two penalties as the hosts took a commanding 11-0 lead.
However, that was as good as it got and Will Weir’s try got Eagle back into the game.
After the break, James Tickle edged Eagle in front before Kieran Thomas sealed victory with a penalty.
