Warrington 68 West Park 17

HAT-TRICKS from Nathan Beesley and Tom Arnold helped Warrington end their season in style by crushing relegated West Park.

The hosts ran in 10 tries in all at Walton Lea Road and put them in pole position to finish fifth in the North One West.

Josh Downes opened the scoring for Warrington after just 30 seconds, with Ben Hockenhull converting before Park got themselves on the board with an unconverted score.

Beesley scooted over for the first of his three tries before Hockenhull kicked a penalty and Max Caldwell took a quick pass from Tom Wood to get on the scoresheet.

Another Park try followed, but Hockenhull was successful with a penalty just before the break to give his side a 13-point lead.

Wood and Caldwell combined to send Arnold over just after the interval, with Wood adding the conversion, but Park were able to cross again to remain in the game.

However, Warrington stretched away from there as Arnold and Wood both crossed in a quickfire double.

Luke Johnston raced home from 40 metres out before Beesley crossed twice to ensure he was the first to complete his hat-trick.

Arnold followed him shortly after to complete a devasting Warrington display.

Warrington 2nd 29 Burnage 2nd 26

WARRINGTON’S seconds emerged victorious from a to-and-fro encounter with their Burnage counterparts thanks to a late try from Tony Fretwell.

Luke Ferguson scored twice for the hosts before the break, but they went into the break two points behind thanks to a conversion on one of Burnage’s two efforts.

The lead continued to change hands throughout the second half as Dan Griffiths and Jamie Thompson crossed for Warrington before veteran Fretwell’s late intervention, with the help of a Griffiths conversion, sealed victory.

Warrington 3rd 34 Winnington Park 2nd 28

A SUPERB first-half display earned Warrington’s thirds a victory against Winnington Park’s seconds as they ran in five tries before the break.

Jeff Millington, Alex Marland, Jamie Thompson, Dan Johnstone and Dan Griffiths, who added two conversions, ensured the hosts had a 29-14 lead at the break.

Park roared back to reduce Warrington’s lead to a single point after the break, but Thompson’s second ensured the hosts did not surrender their lead.
