LYMM’s Senior Colts secured the Raging Bull Senior Conference A League title on Sunday to secure a memorable double for the club.

Their triumph over second-placed Kirky Lonsdale meant the under 18s could add to the Junior Conference A League title won by the club’s Junior Colts after their 15-8 victory over Bowdon last week.

In a game played at Moore RUFC due to Lymm’s hosting of Cheshire’s under 20s match against Lancashire, the Senior Colts endured a tough first half but lead 12-6 at the interval.

Ruaidhri Power and Lucas Titherington crossed for tries, while Will Titherington added a conversion.

After the break, Lymm crossed the whitewash thanks to Alex Hull, a penalty try and Matty Hand, who also kicked two conversions, while Titherington added a further conversion and a penalty.

Both Colts sides now turn their attentions to cup action, with the seniors contesting the Raging Bull League Cup in the coming weeks.

The juniors will face Bowdon or Keighley in the Northern Cup Final on Sunday and victory would earn them a place in the semi-finals of the RFU National Cup.

They then face a Cheshire Cup quarter final at Caldy on Thursday, March 30, while the seniors have a Cheshire Cup semi final against Wilmslow at Beechwood on Sunday, April 2.

LYMM’S first team return to action on Saturday when they welcome Ilkley to Beechwood, kick off 3pm.

With just four games of the season remaining, Adam Fletcher’s side sit ninth in the National League Three North table.

Prior to the game, there will be a reunion buffet for the club’s past players at 1pm.
