Eagle 5 Liverpool Collegiate 48
EAGLE coach Ryan Acton says Liverpool Collegiate’s superior ball skills allowed them to record a convincing victory on Saturday.
The hosts only troubled the scorers late on after their high-flying visitors made the most of their chances.
“We failed to match Collegiate in holding onto the ball and creating space,” Acton said.
“There were too many turnovers and, while our fitness is not in question, we are lacking the skills work on the training ground that is needed if we are to compete effectively in this league.”
Eagle remain bottom of South Lancs/Cheshire Division Two and travel to Marple on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
