Lymm 8 Hull 38
A DEPLETED but brave Lymm outfit proved no match for Hull as they left Beechwood with a bonus-point victory on Saturday.
With injuries and unavailability taking their toll on head coach Adam Fletcher’s resources, not helped by Ali Sutherland’s early yellow card, Hull recorded the game’s first try in the corner.
Hull turned round with a 10-3 lead at the break, with Cormac Nolan registering a penalty for Lymm, and they would stretch that lead in the second half.
Two close range tries followed before a sweeping team move saw them secure a bonus point with a fourth score.
Lymm never gave up and got their rewards when Will Titherington went over for his maiden try for the first team.
Fletcher’s side sit eighth in National League Three North and travel to Firwood Waterloo on Saturday, kick off 2.15pm.
