EAGLE got their South Lancs/Cheshire Division Two campaign off to the worst possible start as they were hammered at home to Tyldesley.
After the visitors opened the scoring after just five minutes, the hosts saw a couple of penalty kicks drift just wide as they sought a way back into the game.
However, Tyldesley were ruthless and added three more tries before the break.
The hosts came out for the second half looking much more organised, but points evaded them before Tyldesley cantered away late on.
Eagle will look for a positive response on Saturday when they travel to Winnington Park, kick off 3pm.
