LYMM continued their pre-season preparation in a triangular tournament at Caldy on Saturday.
The Warrington outfit started the day with a clash against the hosts, playing two 20-minute periods.
There was no score in the first, during which both sides demonstrated excellent defence while Lymm posed a greater threat.
That continued in the second half, and they duly broke the deadlock when good hands put Joe Denman in for a try.
Caldy gained some momentum in the closing stages, and were eventually rewarded with a try to make the final score 5-5.
Following a quick turnaround, Lymm they faced Longton.
After their opponents had opened the scoring, the men from Beechwood equalised through a Jordan Widdrington try to draw level at the interval.
Richard Halford touched down afterwards to give them the lead, only for a converted try to leave them 12-10 adrift.
Lymm replied by touching down twice before the final whistle, with Halford and Oli Lancaster adding their names to the score-sheet.
